We lived in Yuma for 24 plus years and this was a return trip. It has much to offer locals and visitors. Arizona Donuts and Mostly Muffins are places to check out for goodies. Lots of great Mexican food and beautiful places to see, as walk along the river. Little known fact is that it is the lettuce capitol of the world.

I came here to go to the dentist in Los Algodones.
I came here to go to the dentist in Los Algodones. Yuma is a larger city than I thought, I think about 92k population. It's fairly peaceful. Retirees and RV'ers abound. Very nice in the winter. Super hot in the summer. Didn't stay long enough to give a fair review.

There is a wide variety of things to do and see in Yuma.
There is a wide variety of things to do and see in Yuma. The Colorado R. State Historic Park is very well done. Loved the Autentico Sapore Italiano restaurant there. The walk along the river through restored wetlands is great. A trip to Martha's Gardens for a tour of the date palm plantation and a date shake make a perfect day. The Yuma Armed Forces Park is a good place to sit and contemplate after reading names of all the people from that area who have served. Las Delicias De Mi Abuela is a new very friendly absolutely delicious place to eat real Mexican food and relax
The most disappointing thing of all was the amount of trash blowing all over the place, especially on the wetlands walkway - NOT a place one would expect to find any garbage at all.

Yuma has a lot to offer.
Yuma has a lot to offer. However the rooms are too expensive for what you get. However, they are the ONLY place to stay for hundreds of miles. They gotcha!
It is however, a great place to go on September 1 for dove hunting season. My husband and his kids / grandkids go every year and they need to make their reservations a year in advance. ⛄️
This facility is not a Motel or Hotel, it is more like a resort with Motel prices. We were quite pleased with the the view and the patio outside the sliding glass door. The view of the trees and flowering bushes was quite nice. We are already making excuses to visit the area soon.
Other little touches:
separate freezer above the fridge.
great shower head
great shower gel
extra large room
extra comfortable beds.
friendly and knowledgeable staff
One level, so we could park in front of our room. Bed was comfortable, nice pillows. Location was close to "Old Town." It's a vintage hotel, with character. Yet provides all you could want - like microwave & fridge, plus an included sit-down breakfast in the adjacent restaurant. Coffee or tea, waitress service, about 5 breakfast choices. We liked it enough that on our way back home we stayed there again.
It was surprisingly quiet given the location near the freeway allowing an easy journey on. Close to plenty of eating outlets on foot. Room was the standard Motel 6 room, clean with bath (but dodgy plug as is often the case in US motels). Bed comfy, wifi fine. Pleasant and helpful staff. Plenty of parking.
Everything and everyone there was excellent! My only concern/issue is that the hotel used SO MUCH styrofoam for the dining room!! It’s so cheap and harmful for our beautiful environment- please match your serving wear with your excellent hotel! Thank you for having us, we had a great time!!
I think the charge for breakfast is very misleading. The Coronado offers breakfast for free. booking.com makes it look like it is an option you can choose. Why is that? Now I am asking the hotel for a refund of the breakfast charge. Also only one of us ate!
Rooms we good enough for one night. We rolled in late and left early. The hotel clerk who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. The morning clerk was not friendly and seemed to be bothered when we interrupted his social media time on his phone.
Even if you cannot find much to visit in Yuma, this place is cheap and authentic, not far from the main plazas. Check in at 15, clean room even if a bit worn out, garden in common, good fridge and cooking stuffs. Bathroom pretty small but clean and tidy.
Service was excellent byt price for 1 night wayyyy too high. Actually had it booked for night before I fly but will be a loss cuz I'm returning to Yuma sooner and booked the Super8 cuz price fir 5 nights was way cheaper !!!
I always look for this hotel while traveling. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff respects my time. I am always grateful the rooms are clean. I don't care how old the decor is, I just care about the cleanliness.
Super comfortable bed. Very clean room, with ice cold A/C.
Incredible Indian food at Curries Indian Restaurant located at the front of the hotel; My server Ash was incredibly attentive and very friendly
It was a pet friendly hotel .... we had two animals with us .... check in was quick and the front desk lady was super friendly .... the room was overall comfortable
